Creation of "The Memorial Fund"
It has been the policy of the Association to keep
membership "dues free", a policy that we wish to continue.
Up to this point in time the officers have absorbed all
expenditures.
With the upcoming reunion there is now a need to increase
our outlay of funds. As one example, we have, so far, only
"advertised" our existence via the computer. We now wish to
put some advertisements in magazines, such as Vietnam
Veteran Magazine, American Legion Magazine and
VFW. We would do this hoping to spread the net further
and find as many old comrades as possible.
Things of this nature will cost money. We, therefore,
are creating a "Memorial Fund". Anyone can make a donation
in memory of one who has gone before us. The person to be
memorialized could be a KIA, MIA, or someone who has passed
on in subsequent years. The amount donated will not be
listed. The donator will, also, have a gold star
next to his or her name on the membership page.
Please send any donations to:
5th Battalion 60th Infantry Association
377 Pebble Beach Drive
Rio Vista CA 94571-2140
with the checks made out to:
5th Battalion 60th Infantry Association
It is not necessary to make a donation to have a memorial
added to the web site. If you cannot afford to make a
donation, please feel free to submit your memorial and it
will be posted on the "Memorial" page.
